What’s the best thing about your franchise?

For me it’s the ability to make my own decisions and control my business to suit my life. It also means that I can now spend more time doing the coaching that I’m passionate about. I get to train new coaches and build the business working with schools and local cricket clubs.

What have been the biggest challenges?

I struggle with the more administrative side of the role especially with systems and social media!! The franchise team give me invaluable advice and assistance, including great guidance and training on the franchise management system. There is a great vision for the branding and templates for social media which makes it all a lot less daunting.

What’s a typical day like for a franchisee?

There are numerous tasks each week which make every day different, marketing, admin, finance, business development, managing coaches and customers, and more. I have flexibility around my life, pick kids up, and most importantly get to watch the cricket! I’m also able to continue to manage my private coaching alongside the role as the business grows from strength to strength.

How do you support your franchisees?

The team at Cricket Hoppers are all about support and ensuring that each individual training plan is focused on achieving the results and goals that YOU want to achieve. Running a franchise has a huge variety to it, some areas you’ll be experienced in and others you’ll require more support. I have over 12 years experience of running children’s activity businesses. Our franchisees success has come from collaborating closely and regular communication ensuring we are both focusing on the right things; a balance between growth and operational  excellence.

How does a franchise start from nothing to a profitable business?

We work closely with our franchisees to understand what their goals are financially and ensure that this works around their life flexibly. This helps us lay out a clear measure of what success looks like, and a path to get there. There are different streams of income that you can generate and a huge array of different style classes that you can offer. This can be running weekend classes, working with schools to access grants/funding to run in school. after school clubs, holiday camps….the list goes on!!
