Who we are and how we do it
Cricket Hoppers was initially launched by Ben and Ian at the end of 2019 just before the pandemic hit.
Ben and Ian had both been involved with youth cricket in Hampshire for many years. Our head coach, Ian, has quite a pedigree having played county cricket, but more importantly has been coaching youth cricket at all levels across the entire age spectrum for over 30 years. Ian is amongst other elite coaches to hold the CoachEd Level 4 qualification, training other coaches across the world.
The initial idea for Cricket Hoppers came from Ben struggling to find a cricket class to take his young boys to; particularly any that offered cricket for more than twelve weeks of the year, only during the summer months.
Despite starting just before the national lockdowns in 2020 and 2021, the demand for cricket classes proved to be so high, that the business went from strength to strength, opening new classes almost monthly across the Hampshire area.
At the start of 2023, Laura Skilton (founder of the successful Baby Squids franchise), joined the team to bring this local success story to the rest of the UK. If you are interested in learning more about our franchise opportunities please click below.
