Our Coaches

All of our qualified coaches have played and coached for local teams in Hampshire and further afield. They bring extensive cricket knowledge, as well as a sense of fun, to our classes. Many have been coached by Ian himself and all have a passion to introduce cricket to young children.

We have a number of Hampshire’s aspiring and talented female coaches as part of the link we have with the Hampshire Cricket Board (Young Vipers) : additionally, we have a range of ECB qualified coaches, from Level 1 to Level 3, with experience of youth coaching in Primary and Secondary schools, clubs and County age group squads.

All of our staff undergo rigorous and ongoing training, to ensure they deliver a progressive training programme for your children to enable cricketing and holistic development, with the aim of sustaining their love of the game for years to come.

Passionate about cricket

We’re always looking for enthusiastic, talented coaches, to grow our Cricket Hoppers’ team. If you feel that you have something to offer, we would love to hear from you.

“Ian is an exceptionally experienced coach who has worked with Hampshire Cricket for many years, in particular at the inception of the girls EPP – an exciting new project which Ian led with enthusiasm and vision, taking the girls on the first ever overseas tour for female EPP Hampshire cricketers. I see the Cricket Hoppers role as an informal apprenticeship, but with all the benefits of a formal apprenticeship – you will be paid and Ian is an excellent referee for your CV. A fantastic opportunity for aspiring female coaches to gain confidence and experience in a positive, forward thinking environment.”
